Pretty

………………………Chamonix.

The weather forecast wasn’t great today but it was dry and warm first thing when we left the hotel to catch the trolley bus to the station. Onward travel by local train to join the Mountain Blanc Express to Chamonix. It was still warm and dry when we reached Chamonix but rather cloudy and the mountain tops rather conspicuous by their absence!

We had a lovely few hours wandering around, having lunch and eating cake though it eventually got wet enough to need something waterproof. As we journeyed back to Montreux it got increasingly wetter so we’d had the best of the weather for the day being up above the rain clouds….its an exceedingly wet evening now but thankfully dinner is included at the hotel tonight so we’ve no need to go out again!
