Class 20 and the Victorian Set at Tenterden Town

A huge and heartfelt thank you from us both for your congratulatory comments yesterday. They added so much to the excitement of the day. To know that so many of you were waiting for this announcement meant so much to us. Thank you. You can all relax a little now as we embark on the journey to successfully purchasing and renovating the property.

Thank you too for so many favourites, I wasn’t expecting that. Such generosity. I’ll thank you all individually this evening.

If you’re interested in finding out more, search for 2 Vicarage Lane, Cockermouth with the property app of your choice!

Back with our feet on the ground we’ve been gathering together what needs to be done as well as thinking about what we want to do to the place to make it ours. Now that’s exciting. We still have to remind ourselves about what has happened and be grateful for this opportunity.

On another matter I had to attend an annual medical on the railway so that I could be rostered for turns in the box. Thankfully, I was passed fit so I can do my turn on Bank Holiday Monday at Rolvenden. There may be a steamy blip on that day.

As I was leaving the station today the big Class 20 beast was awaiting to depart with the 2.20pm to Bodiam in charge of the Victorian Set. Such a contrast and quite incongruous. In the siding to the left is a Thumper, a diesel electric multiple unit which used to work the Hastings line. I understand it is on the roster on Monday, so you might see that.
