The Wall!
Shibden Wall is a well known cobbled climb around these parts. It is only about half a mile long but the average gradient is 15% with some tough cobbles to contend with too.
The hardest part is definitely a hairpin left hander that is ridiculously steep on the apex and definitely best avoided by going wide. It is one of a kind!
Today I walked down it, and then back up then other side of the valley on a stroll. It always feels quite incredible that the road even exists!
A lovely trip to Birstall today too for a good old perfume squirt, clothes browse and IKEA meander. :-)
