Korcula
We left Stari Grad early this morning after the other three vessels that were moored to us had left and head along the long island of Hvar. We passed the town of Hvar (first extra) and then motored along the long island. We passed a mini island, imagine living on that (second extra) no neighbour problems and from there headed towards the island of Korcula. A sheltered cove was found for some more swimming, it was lunch and then motoring on. We didn't reach there until nearly 4 pm and were second to tie up along two other small cruise ships. There are eight in that line now and there is at least one other line of 8 vessels on the port we are in and at least another 4 or 5 on the other side of the old town. The place is heaving with tourists. Maybe this is where we all meet up. A mid week crossing of cruises.
We had a tour of the old town which was very interesting. They claim Marco Polo was born here. Venice apparently also claims this but we were told neither Croatia or Italy have any proof. Considering it was ruled by Venetians at one time it probably doesn't really matter. The main is from the tower at the town gate looking West. There was a performance going on which we watched for a while before looking for somewhere to eat. The third extra is of the coastline of Hvar. From the fourth onwards are around the town.
