Runcorn trip
Met my friends Margaret and Ian in Widnes where we parked up not far from the bus stop we needed. Cold morning at 14C and felt colder as there was a chilly wind. Needed a jacket.
Got the bus to Runcorn Cenotaph to do an earthcache there then we trotted across to the War Memorial for a photo call before walking back to the train station to do another earthcache. This one was quite involved and took us a while but it was interesting.
After this we did a lab cache which focussed on Art under the Bridge - murals - hence the main photo. The murals are excellent.
From there to do an earthcache church micro before one last call for me to grab a cache that my friends did years ago. This proved ore intereesting than expected. There were three people fishing there - right by the geocache - they had their rods set up and one was tending to a rod but he soon joined the other two in the tent. We had a bit of a chat with them and they were smoking funny tobacco!
After sorting the cache out we walked into the shopping area and adjourned to a cafe before getting the bus back to Widnes then driving home.
I did a bit of tidying in the garden this afternoon and it was slightly warmer at 19C but felt cooler due to the cold wind.
Extra one of the old Runcorn bridge.
