I'm still not happy with the results I'm getting from my Small Copper photos, but at least I've had quite a few opportunities this year. Last year I saw just one.

This one was just a couple of yards over the garden wall, and I did think about hanging around to see if it would flit over so that I could add it to the garden list. I'll save that for another time though.

The seventeenth butterfly species I've blipped this year, taking me one past last year's total, largely thanks to the Menorcan trip in June.

Oh, and 8yo became a 9yo, which was probably the most important aspect of the day.
