Tree Trunk

This tree trunk is lying across the entrance to a farm field - providing ‘security’ backup to the gate - which looks a bit rusty and fragile. It has been there for years and this cut end is normally hidden by vegetation. The recent dry weather has killed off the green stuff and exposed all these great textures and patterns. I did pull up a few stands of dead grass to clear the ‘view’ a bit (ahem).

Today I chalked up another milestone on my 2025 walking challenge - I passed the 900 mile mark..so that’s 75% complete now. 

We are setting off later for a few days away in Co Durham. I have no idea what the wifi/phone signal situation is likely to be so I may be a bit quiet - if you are lucky :-)
