Onward . . .

Spent lots of quality time with the bird today.
Progress made.
Nearly all the base coats on now - just the bill to paint then I can add the finishing bits and pieces.
Then the legs. Oh boy the legs!! In many ways the hardest part of the job.
It's when I go from wood to metal; metal because wood that thin would be too fragile for me to work with. So tomorrow it's hammers and files, then modelling putty and then more paint.
Oh yes- and a base and a branch for the bird to perch on. Not much left to do then and two whole weeks left before the show. Easy peasy!!
