Well we finally got to Townsville around lunch time (Ozzie time) after getting the “official” wake up call at 3am to get the courtesy van to the airport , needing to be there at 4am. When I say “official” I had been awake from midnight clock watching, not wanting to oversleep, haha that was never going to happen.
Anyhoo, so happy to be here, and I got the biggest squeezy hug ever at the airport. They had taken her out of school to meet us. She’s been my shadow ever since.
Here she is showing me some of the “stuff” for her 10th birthday party on Saturday. Wicked theme.
And, she had made two beautiful welcome cards for us, our room had lots of balloons in it, and Happy Birthday banner. Then a birthday cake with candles tonight. Very spoilt.  From here on in it will be all about her birthday not mine.
