She remembered

I had a stressful walk with Bella on Monday. There was shooting in the distance that really scared her. She spent 3 miles jumping at the backs of my legs, panting and shaking. Nothing I did or tried reassured her. It was really sad and very stressful.

I allowed Mr W to walk her yesterday then did our usual walk but in reverse today hoping she would have forgotten about it but no. Silly me for even thinking that!!!! 

Today she spent a whole mile trying to tell me she wanted to go home!!!!! Come mile 2 she decided we were probably past half way so tried to run ahead and kept looking back telling me to hurry up. She's a clever cookie.

Still no news from planning. Now 3 days past their determination date so DN2 called them. Our planning officer goes on leave at the end of the week and we are desperate not to be left hanging for another 2 weeks. I'm wondering what on earth I spent over £600 on with no site visit, no planning committee and a delayed decision!!! Rachel said she would try and work on it today.

She called me later to ask me a few questions about our numbers and opening times. She made an absolutely ridiculous comment about the darkness and it being a rural location. "I'm a bit concerned about it being too dark where the studio is.... What if a creature jumps out from the bushes at someone....."

Excuse me?? So she's basing our recommendation on something out of a horror film rather than factual correctness and policy!

.DN2  and I laughed and laughed. We are both at an extremely heightened level of anxiety / stress. Despite our 2nd bank lender agreeing to the loan we are still no further forward!!!!

DN2 did however warn her boss she was likely to be handing in her notice on Monday!!!!
