... from Alston Station, on the South Tynedale Railway.  A shame about the cold war border crossing gates (there are proper gates down the line at Slaggyford) and the narrow gauge, when the original line was standard.  A grand ride out to meet up with FloydonFilm at the A68 Cafe.
