Lead Mining in Wanlockhead

We had a super day visiting the Lead Mine at Wanlockhead with the Pukes.  Wanlockhead is the highest Village in Scotland.  We were taken down the mine and shown around cottages and the library in the village by an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable guide who gave us a bit of taste of what life was like for the miners who lived and worked there.  Their lives were short and pretty grim.
