Paddling (Day 3759)
Back to the job in Stromness first thing this morning to do some "finishing" touches. They weren't really finishing touches because the bathroom remains unfinished until the basin arrives, but I needed to do some cleaning, clearing, siliconing and filling this morning. It will look good when it is finally finished.
With that out of the way I hurried home so I could bid farewell to my beautiful wife who was flying south on another adventure.
After HV left, I headed to town to run a few errands, then back home for coffee on the couch with Sigyn. Around midday we headed off to Wasdale for a wander. It was good to see her trotting along happily and enjoying being out.
After lunch I made my way to Stromness and got out for a great ride on George. He was on top form today, and on the way back to the field was keen to get on the beach. He was miffed that we didn't have a gallop as soon as his feet touched the sand, but he enjoyed getting his toes in the water. After a canter up and down the sand, he had another splosh around in the sea before we ambled back to the field. It was absolutely what I needed after a bit of a stressful day yesterday.
