Tick-Tock
Today I was designated supervisor in the Men's Shed. This high office involves opening up, ensuring there is enough milk for teas and coffees, membership fees and parking registrations are in order, workshop behaviour is controlled, try to prevent anyone killing each other and lock up at the end. I nearly manage to achieve all my duties.
I arrived very early after buying 4 pints of milk to find 2 other members were already filling the shed with a huge pile of donated timber. After paying out expenses to some members, checking parking had been registered and tallying the membership fees I ended up £5 short in the kitty. Checking the Shed before leaving I didn't find any members collapsed in a corner so not bad overall.
This morning I took in a Horolovar 400 day midget clock I inherited from my maternal grandmother so it could be looked at by our clock mending member. A receipt shows it was bought in 1972, I inherited it in 1996 but I have never seen it working.
My Blip is what it looked like after 10 minutes with the clock man. I have every confidence it will be fixed and working again by next week. Time will tell...
