An unexpected abstract .
We went on a mini blipmeet today with Fitzbilly and Lynn and StevenG and Gill.
We met at Cotswold airport in their AV8 cafe (gettit?)
Then we went to explore Tetbury, which is famous for being near King Charles home, Highgrove among other things. I’m not sure how much time he spends there now what with full time Kinging etc.
Anyway it was fun wandering around the gift shops, antique emporia, ( or emporiums, take your pick), and cafes.
Thanks for your company Blipmates!
Abstract Thursday theme is an unexpected abstract.
This was taken at the Airport and I’m sure you will recognise it as part of a Rolls Royce Nene jet engine, introduced in 1944. One of the most powerful jet engines of its time, it produced around 5000 lbs of thrust, more than double the RR Derwent.
It was a centrifugal-flow turbojet which made it relatively simple and robust compared to later axial- flow designs.
So now you know.
