A slow blip day

No exciting Lake District scenery in Kent, no exciting news today. Just dry, dusty and lacking in colour! We noticed this tree which had been felled since we last walked through the Woodland Trust.

The circle represents the approximate year of my birth which makes this tree possibly 125-150 years old. That’s young for an oak tree. What was the world like when this sapling first saw the light of day? And where would you be on that cross section?

Otherwise, it’s been a non-stop day from 7.15 to now. I won’t list the jobs we shovelled aside dealing with the Cockermouth house, the houses here and everything in between.
