Bare beds

I learnt today that the Culpeper Garden has been beset by bindweed. It is so prevalent that each bed will be cleared and the bind weed removed, then it will be left ‘fallow’ for as long as necessary before replanting. The beds will be done a few at a time and the whole programme will take about 18 months!

I’m not saying any more but if I hear the words brass rubbings one more time I might scream!
