Bishops Waltham Palace
I had a wander around the ruin of Bishops Waltham Palace this afternoon looking for a blip. The Palace was the one time residence of the Bishops of Winchester. Work on the Palace commenced in the 12th Century and it was developed and extended on several occasions making it one of the largest residences in the South of England. The palace fell into ruin after the civil war in the 17th Century and is now maintained by English Heritage.
