A view of the boundary
Today was my second practice session of Walking Cricket. I was still suffering the twinges and aches I acquired from last week's exertions but managed to bat three overs and bowl two overs. I've since been ladling on deep heat muscle gel and taking paracetamol as I'm due to play in a competitive game tomorrow - versus the Chobham under 11 girls team! I'm told they walk very quickly and I fear it may end in tears for us old codgers. Apparently the only game the Chobham Walking Cricket team has won this season was against the Chobham under 9 boys team. Still, it's good to encourage the youngsters.
The photo is taken from the centre of the pitch looking out to the boundary and the wetlands beyond , except they're far from wet at the moment whilst the pitch itself is hard as iron
