I Am Flying Like a Bird

Mike and Rich got the laser out this afternoon and had a good time on the Lake - that's Monsaraz in the background.

Realised, while I was watering, that our purple figs were ripe and the birds had left some, so made the crostata di fichi from Jamie Oliver's Italian cookbook, which I absolutely love. Don't usually do this much baking, but had to use those figs, and the guys appreciated a slice when they got back. Put a cooking show of it on my status.
