Jab chase
The day started well enough with an easy commute and G back in the office bearing Australian sweets, but quickly descended into back-to-back meetings from 9 to 3, including eating a ham sandwich off-camera in yet another planning session. A follow-up on the recent ad-serving incident proved frustratingly repetitive, and the integration meeting reminded me I’ve some catching up to do. Things got worse at my travel clinic appointment, where I was told that Yellow Fever jabs were out of stock. After a round of phone calls and failed leads, I finally found a pharmacy in Earlsfield willing to fit me in at the last minute, cueing a mad dash across London. From there, to Waterloo where we were lucky to find the Portsmouth train already on the platform before it was even announced, which meant we grabbed a table seat and tucked into meal-deal dinners en route. By the time of the 21:45 crossing it was dark, but the sea was calm and the sailing pleasant — ending a long day of meetings and a jab chase.
