Woodland Skipper
I was sitting outside on my deck this morning - it was an absolutely lovely morning with cool temps, blue skies, and a lovely breeze. Along came this beautiful Woodland Skipper, native to the west coast of the US. At first it landed on my leg, the then the other leg, then my arm and finally it came back and landed on my hand. When I try to take photos of these sweet butterflies in my garden, they are very skittish.Today I couldn’t help but think that this butterfly was trying to relay something to me since it stayed still for so long….just me, the Skipper, the rays of the sun and the gorgeous day.
