A different view of the garden. 7:30 am
As Autumn is now knocking loudly at the door, I took this photo of the garden at breakfast time, from the loft bedroom window.
It is for my own record of just how brown and dry the grass has become the past couple of months.
The trees and bushes still look green, but the deciduous ones are shedding leaves very early due to stress. And autumn colours seem to be earlier..
It is evidently going to be a fairly sunny morning so we are going out for an early walk.
(I was in bed by 21h00 last night!)
Apparently the UK will get some remnants of Storm Erin, which is currently barreling across the Atlantic, towards the end of next week, in wet and windy weather, but less fierce than expected..
Then I guess, once we get back to cooler unsettled and wetter days, we will all wish we were back to the lovely warm summer days we have had this year.
And it’s Bank Holiday weekend, usually the last hurrah before Autumn really elbows its way to the fore..
