I opened an invoice email from my broadband provider. What a shock . . . I’d obviously gone out of contract. I went over the road to check with a neighbour as both she and her son changed at the same time. They hadn’t realised either.

I was brave (and that was without a glass of wine) and phoned them. I was in a queue of at least 5 and could press 1 for a call back without losing my place in the queue. An hour later I got the call. Excellent customer service and a new contract for a £5 a month increase. I went to give Margaret the news. No doubt her son will sort hers out.
