Found in the back of a cupboard .....

..... and it has been there since mum and I moved here in 1993.
You can just make out the expiry date .... 1998 ..... and who knows when mum bought the bottle in the first place!

Mum used Camp Coffee as flavouring in her fabulous coffee cakes. I don't ever remember her making cups of coffee with it. Another memory from my childhood was walking down to the local grocer (no supermarkets then) to buy butter which was cut from a huge slab and then patted into shape and a bag of freshly ground coffee beans which I stuck in front of my nose the whole way up the road. I didn't drink coffee in those days but I did love the smell of fresh coffee grounds.

I'm not putting the bottle back in the cupboard!
