Walk to Parbold

Another lovely quiet day. We walked round the field with Oscar this morning then after lunch I drove to Appley Bridge to walk along the canal to Parbold. It is a nice stretch of canal and there are a few seats so we sat on them. At the old lock we watched probably sand/house martins over the water.. In Parbold we had a drink and lemon drizzle cake at a lovely cafe called yours is the earth. It is amazing what you see on the canal bank. According to my watch we have walked 8.5 miles today!  I will have hit 20000 steps for the 2nd time ever in the next hour if I have a walk round the garden!
