Blue pollen

I spent today in the garden, and some time observing my bees.  I watched how close the predatory wasps come to rob the hive (extra), and I saw the bees bringing in the pollen.

Honey bees are very focused and fly straight into the hive with the pollen, so getting a photo was hard, even with my proper camera and zoom lens.  This photo shows the pollen basket on one bee's hind leg (looking like a blueberry) that is filled with blue pollen.

Amazing!
