Moco
We made a flying visit to that London today, to see daughter#1 and the gang. They are away on holiday next week and then back to school so this was the only chance we had.
We caught the train from Oxford Parkway. It wasn't very busy. We sat in the Quiet Zone but there was a couple talking and laughing very loudly across the aisle from us. It was constant and very distracting so rather than risk asking them to quieten down we moved to different seats.
We had an al fresco lunch at Nando's then for our main event we visited the Moco Museum by Marble Arch. We liked some of it a lot, some not so much.
One of my favourite bits was this Anthony James triacontahedron sculpture in steel and glass with LED lights. It was amazing to look into (first extra).
I was the only person taking photos with a camera but there were lots of visitors wandering around with arms outstretched just taking portrait orientation shots of everything you could see with their phones. It was a bit annoying as several times I was carefully lining up a people free shot just for someone with a phone to walk directly in front of me to grab a point and shoot pic of something else. The second extra is an example in the Banksy section.
I (of course) was impressed by all the Banksy stuff, not so much by the Robbie Williams section. I always remember someone saying he was a good example of how a little talent can go a long way. Well now he is extending that talent into exhibition art. This is all just my opinion of course, apologies to any Robbie Williams fans in blipworld.
After that we had drinks and cakes in a Gail's before catching our train back to Oxford.
11k steps in all.
Update: forgot to say we called into a bookshop on the way back to the station. We let the boys choose a book each. I asked daughter#1 if she had read the book I bought her last time (Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami I recall). No she said, but buying books and reading books are two entirely different things!

How Many Men ...
I wonder if the Gigaclear men will have to do this to our drive.
