More spread-eagling!

It was very nice having Beau last night, and I took him back home this morning but then had him back when Jo went to meet friends. This afternoon she knocked and asked me if I was going for a walk (she needed to collect something from the vet) but I said no I'm busy. Beau took himself into the house, came out, went back in, and to the end of the driveway, back to me (and Eugenio who was working). This went on for at least 10 minutes so Jo gave up, and loaded him into the car as that was the only way she was getting him to go anywhere. He's so gorgeous but it's very hard to know what to say when he is making his own choice!

Eugenio has finished the front driveway and it looks amazing. I have lacked energy, time and inclination to do it however much I wanted to. He works so hard, and does such a good job I have asked him to strengthen my makeshift veranda side panels. With the help of his (maybe) future father-in-law they came up with a great solution. He was given guidance and told to make a design for customer approval. Given all that he has done so far I have no doubt that the end result will be brilliant (and better than my temporary solution). He now says brilliant as a phrase he's picked up from me!
