A Rose ..

Of some sort. Took this in Jodie’s new garden while we were childminding for a couple of hours. A peaceful time in a hectic day.

We’ve got a bunch of friends coming round tomorrow for eats and drinks, there will be 11 of us, family coming on Sunday, so another 11 to cater for. What to cook? I know! Pulled pork, what can go wrong with a slow cooked pork? Well, something did go wrong because when I got back from Jodie’s, I took it out of the slow cooker to shred it. It was tough as old boots! Cooked 10 hours on low too.

To enable me to sleep tonight, and not stress about what to replace it with, I headed to Tesco and bought a pile of their pulled pork packets! Thank goodness for 24 hour opening hours!

Tomorrow I shall make the Coleslaw and fresh fruit salad and hope nothing goes wrong with that. I’m also making focaccia…. Now, that could go wrong! Years ago I thought nothing of laying on 3 course meals where everything was cooked from scratch. Must be an ageing thing!
