The Ribble at Alston.

A bit of a gloomy day with light rain at times. I met up with some friends I haven’t seen for ages and their dog. Sadly they have both decided to give up their jobs in education. A big loss for the school they work at. They are taking early retirement and I cheered them up with tales of all the daft things I get up to. Home to more revision for the railway. Then tea followed by this walk down by the river. I used to see kingfisher s down here but haven’t done for a couple of years :-(
