Surprise birthday cake

I’ve been working on Louise’s birthday cake today. First finding edible flowers and a small spade and then baking and decorating.

And here it is … a cake for a gardener! I hope she likes it. Over the last few months, she has shared with us about what she has been planting in her new garden, and I was thrilled to find these edible pansies. I saw her flower beds last week when I dropped in after our Business Day, and she had plenty of pansies.
