Through a glass...

A view of St Augustine's Church, Dumbarton, taken through the glass of the main door - it doesn't quite face west - after Choral Evensong today. It marked the end of a day of celebration of 140 years at the heart of Dumbarton, and I was one of the quartet of singers asked to provide the choral side of the event. The church was packed with a variety of people and Bishop Gregor preached.

As we sang down the church from behind the nave altar, I was forcibly struck by the outreach created by that glass door as passers-by stopped to peer in to see what was happening.
