Sowing

Another day at home - spending most of it in the garden. Observing robins - the book I read recently led me onto David Lack’s classic book written in the 30s and this has inspired me to look more closely at the birds who live around us.

My photo is of the hollyhock seeds which I am planting this afternoon. They come from a beautiful white perennial hollyhock which has spread through from Mum’s neighbours’ garden. I collected the seeds on my last visit home.

D arrived home at about 10.40 last night. He is tired and has a lot to process.
