Skipton

Backblip for Wednesday 20/8.  3 buses out and 2 back today when I travelled to Skipton to meet up with H my friend since childhood. Scary to think that we have known each other for nearly 65 years! We have been struggling to find a date to meet up due to her husband's medical issues and in turn our own, so we were determined that today would go ahead. It was market day and Skipton was rammed as were the shops and cafes . Masses of coaches in the car park. We found a seat in an Italian cafe and as H is gluten free we ordered their gf carrot cake which was amazing. We then walked to look at several shops and places in town - I was persuaded to buy a book in The Works - it is set in the Yorkshire Dales, so looking forward to that one. We ended 3 hours of shopping and chat in M&S and I grabbed a salmon salad for lunch as I knew I wouldn't have much time when I got home. Actually got home just in time to go to 3 & Go, so the salad was set aside for tomorrow and I just drank lemonade! I had forgotten to take any photos whilst with H, so just a collage of Skipton side streets and Craven Court on the way back to the bus station.
