Sunset at The Roaches

We had a relatively low key day but decided on a late afternoon picnic and walk. I'd been to The Roaches in the last week with my camera club and the heather was in full bloom. It looked like a promising sunset so we headed back to this spot.

It was glorious.....

This image is about halfway across the ridge looking towards the trig point with Shutlingsloe in the background.

The extra is taken from the Morridge road which runs parallel to the Roaches and the A53. It's a great viewpoint of Hen Cloud and The Roaches. We just had a few moments of the sunset between the clouds.

It was all well worth the trip out.
