Field with Donkey
After six hours of sorting through many hundreds of photos and scanning the nicest ones, I was glad to get out and help P. He was on „donkey duty“ tonight, as part of a group of volunteers taking turns feeding, watering and cleaning up after the three donkeys in a field not far from here.
But his back has troubled P so much lately that I went along to help carrying the heavy things (like water canisters). As it turned out, there wasn’t much to do apart from chopping up apples and making sure the two bigger donkeys didn’t steal Emil’s (the smallest donkey‘s) food. Emil is a very slow eater, so that took a while. When we finally went home, Urmel (the donkey in this blip) had already crossed the whole field looking for juicy grass. But, due to the recent heat and drought, the grass has all but stopped growing.
Today was cooler and mostly cloudy, but still dry.
