PRINCE? IZZAT YOU?

Another pretty flower for your enjoyment.  I know it's not Flower Friday but I didn't make any other shots today so this Blip will have to do.  This is one of several species of what are collectively known as Fall Blooming Asters (Aster sp.)...members of the Famly Asteraceae.

Like Sunflowers, it's a composite bloom consisting of both disc and ray flowers.  See yesterday's Blip for additional information.

A late season bloom that local bees depend on for nectar to store for the winter...which, in these parts, is about 8 weeks away.  We typically see the first snows in the middle to the end of November and will be hip deep in "fluff stuff" by the middle of December...unless Global Warming has something to say about that.

BEST ON LARGE.
