Sally Mair - Loving life

Food again

I hardly seemed to be in today but I can't quite work out why, lol.
First job was to meet a friend in church with the aim of clearing and cleaning the children's corner. Books in particular sent to accumulated there for no particular reason. We spotted them out and took those surplus to requirements whether by age or subject matter, to the charity shop. Next join was to restore 10 chairs in the name which meant moving all the existing churches and their accompanying kneelers a little closer together. We managed though. I also managed to put some extra chairs in the sanctuary. I know we have a week till the service, but we need to get tho see things we can do in advance, dinner, leaving less to do in a short time space on the night. It all looks good if I do say so myself.
Next stop was Morrisons to buy some sausages and burgers for tomorrow's BBQ. I usually buy them in Morrisons as their home made in house ones, are gluten free.
I was tired when I got home about 3pm so we decided to head out for our meal this evening. We went to the Manor House in Corstorphine. I was so tired we didn't cost just went for their banquet for two. The blip shows the starter platter (less a couple of items) and our main courses . It's a nice place and the food is always good. As usual we had too much.
Sunday tomorrow, our BBQ and chance to say goodbye to our lovely intercom pastor. I'm also going to the Cathedral for evensong and the chance to say goodbye to the Bishop over afternoon tea. He retires next Sunday on the 31st
