Crazy day today

I am so far behind with blip,  sorry. 

Our day started with a 4am fire alarm, just as I had stepped into the shower. (We had an early flight.) We hastily threw our gear into suitcases and dragged them down 8 flights of stairs.  Our friend quickly got his car out of the carpark and we headed to the airport where we finished our ablutions. The flight was good until landing. We touched the tarmac then immediately took off again,  circled for 15 minutes then had another try which was successful. The pilot claimed the wind had changed but we were not convinced as the trees were barely moving. 
After collecting our rental car we headed to Murray Bridge which is home for the next few days. Our relatives took us to the races to watch their horse race. It won! On the way to join then for the winners photo I fell on the bottom step. No serious damage but I have very sore thigh muscles and mug left arm is sore from holding the hand rail. Not the best start to the week here.
