Prancing on the Pods

We were at our church this morning at 8:30, part of the kitchen crew for the funeral of one of our church members.

Last month, on a Saturday, Dody had a nice party at the church for her 90th birthday. On Sunday, her son was leading singing at the church and was pulled off the stage to find out that Dody was in the hospital. On Monday we were informed by the prayer chain that she was improving, but on Tuesday...she passed. Yikes, life is fragile.

She was very big on family (both hers and her church family), and there were a lot of great stories told about her today. Still sad, but we know which way she will be going, and that is heaven-ward.

The red-winged blackbird was seen in our downtown area.
