River life and picnic heaven.

A day on the river that we are camping beside. Kayaks , wall to wall sunshine , 30 degrees. Picnic in the shade on a rocky island. Kingfishers , fish, nature blooming , swimming to cool off, splash offs and messing on the river. A totally fabulous day. It was only a 6 km paddle but we spent more time out of the boats than in. Jacqui’s boat had a split and capsized going down some rapids and she has a mighty bruise and dent on her shin, but she’s an Aussie outdoor tough kinda gal and says she’s fine.
Joined for dinner by The Bell family staying in one of the glamping cabins and played werewolf late into the night . Late night tea, planning and giggles with Shan on our big comfy camper bed.
