Returning home from Cannon Hall

I don’t always drive home through Silkstone these days but I needed some petrol. I also wanted to check out the road junctions to see if I could match them up to a painting.  I’d just come up the road you can see opposite from Cannon Hall and it’s definitely not this junction.  The housing here is too new and the road slopes away downhill.  So definitely the junction where the Asda a garage is sited. (Though that’s been remodelled since.)
I was leaning on the churchyard wall to take the road image, so I turned round to take that view.  I have photographed the church before on a number of occasions and the memorial records the deaths of children who died in the Huskar Pit disaster, which I’ve also worked on as a project.
