Memories

OH was at football so when he left (early KO) I took myself up to the Bluebell Woods and left Aimee some dahlias.  We planted a few new varieties and she was very taken with the small pink ones and had said they would be good table flowers (2nd wedding date was early September) - sadly didn't happen.  The woods were quiet and with no bluebells, were empty and I tried not to feel sad.  It is funny how we get comfort from a plaque or gravestone as somewhere to 'be' with loved ones.  We have decided against anything in the churchyard but have Aimee's tree and the Bluebell woods.  I think of her everywhere and don't need a headstone in a graveyard.

I also had a trip to a large charity shop a friend was telling me about - they have fabric and craft supplies but nothing suitable today.

Home for a bit of sewing and sorting out.  I am going to sort some of Aimee's books and give them to the LC Bookshop.  I don't feel sad about giving them away as they are all old books from school/uni days and she did not take them when she moved out (13 years ago) so they don't have memories particularly.  I did find some (including these two Harry Potter books) which she has written in the front.  I offered them to No.2 and he was happy to take them particularly as she has written her name in the front.

I am making book sleeves for my Christmas Craft Fair and I am going to put one of Aimee's books in each of the sleeves!  Buy a sleeve and get a free book!
