This bank holiday weekend, the village community group, T2000, is celebrating its silver jubilee in style. As part of the festivities, villagers have been challenged to create garden displays inspired by a “silver” theme.

One of our neighbours has embraced the challenge with an eccentric Long John Silver display—complete with pistol, cutlass, silver "pieces of eight" and a mercifully fake dead parrot. 

Curiously, the face of Long John Silver bears an uncanny resemblance to Jeremy Clarkson. A grumpy, loud-mouthed man sailing into the sunset with questionable treasure and a trail of chaos behind him?
