Whiskey Onion Pearls

Onions fried in brown butter with a splash of whisky added. Served with leftover curry and courgette & tomato experiment.

The onions next to us were harvested and tonnes were left to rot. We picked up (we are allowed to) two buckets full, but that will not make a dent in the waste. Next week the red onions on our our side will be harvested; no doubt with the same results.

I pickled a bottle and it is a success, I'll make a few jars more.
