Namesake Rose

A day for mowing, and making chutney amongst other things.
Also an immensely sociable day, the doorbell seemed to go constantly through the day-which of course is lovely.
I managed to go into town for a short while to see a friends show, which involved storytelling and puppets-it was great.
Later on I checked on the canal rowing boats as one of the volunteers for todays shift wasn't well so we were short staffed.  Luckily someone's son had kindly come to the rescue. 
M came for dinner.
