Improv

When in need use mother nature as a prop :) Catching the sights of activities on the Puget sound, from the comfort of a blanketed spot; even the dog is all wrapped up :)

We decided to spend the last day of our vacay in Tacoma because that little town is full of surprises.

200,000 souls strong, many of them Boeing or Microsoft employees, the town is engaging in some nice urban renewal, while managing to keep the character of its blue collar neighborhood intact. There's a wonderful park (Deception Point) covering the point of the peninsula, complete with zoo, exotic gardens, marina, and great trails.

It also boasts a rather fancy area, with the old homes of former logging barons. We saw a $1.3 mil house (which in DC buys you a very crowded 2-bedroom house...) with sprawling grounds overlooking the sound and 10,000 sft of expansive rooms, including formal dining and living rooms, sauna, home gym, and of course, the former carriage house now turned into a respectable in-laws suite (which could house the afore mentioned DC house...). And it was beautiful (nothing MacMansion about it). Living large with style :)

Up at 4:30am tomorrow (where was my head when I made those flight arrangements????)
