Sloe
It's been a while since I had a walk around "Station Linné", the university research centre regarding insects, mainly, but also plants and birds. Sometimes it's called the Ekostation because of it holistic view on the particular nature around here.
I also needed a blip and the fist thing I saw took care of that. I noticed both that there are lots of sloan this year and in front of the blackthorn bush was this beautiful flower/seed head of a plant called "Läkevänderot", Valeriana officinalis agg, in English Valeriana or Healing root. The plant isn't very common here but super healthy, if you know how to use it. You can use the oil from it as a flavour for ice cream and apple dishes, as a tea, where it has a calming effect, it improves the quality of your sleep and lower high blood pressure, release menstrual cramps, and on it goes. I had no idea, maybe I'll come back for some seeds later.
The weather is back into acting as summer again, next week will be nice, partly.
