Red, but not ready.

Having been optimistic that this tree would fruit early, hopes were dashed by a) lack of fallen apples indicating a ripe state  despite quite breezy conditions recently and b) none passed the "twist test". So it looks as though the September apples will be ready in----September. Visit to Daughter and SiL's place primarily to see Grandson T who is home for a few days with his girlfriend before setting off to Northern Italy on holiday.
